Our world-wide network of volunteers is the single most critical factor in the success of our projects. Our volunteers come from every part of society and all walks of life. They have different skills and talents and varying backgrounds and work experience. One thing they have in common is a willingness to improve their community and to make a positive impact on their world.

Volunteering with an international organization like PromoteGIS is one of the best ways to gain valuable work and life experience and to contribute to your community in beneficial ways. All our volunteers are treated equally and are offered the same opportunities for participation.

PromoteGIS volunteers are divided into two groups:

	Local Community Volunteers
	Global Community Volunteers

Each volunteer who registers with PromoteGIS will first be designated as a Local Community Volunteer. After active and successful participation at the local level, he or she will become a Global Community Volunteer and have the opportunity to participate in volunteering opportunities world-wide.
